LOADED BROADWAY BOXING CARD ANNOUNCED FOR APRIL 4 FEATURING FORMER WORLD CHAMPION YURI FOREMAN AND CONTENDERS GABRIEL BRACERO, LUIS DEL VALLE AND WBA #6 RATED WELTERWEIGHT IONUT "JO JO" DAN DBE & 50 CENT'S SMS PROMOTIONS TOP PROSPECTS HIGHLIGHT UNDERCARD

On Thursday, April 4, DiBella Entertainment (DBE) will return to Roseland Ballroom for the latest installment of its Broadway Boxing series.  The stacked 11-bout card will feature a number of DBE's top young prospects and contenders including former WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman, 29-2, 8KO's, Luis "Orlandito" Del Valle (16-1, 11KO's) and WBC #6-rated welterweight Ionut "Jo Jo" Dan Ion (30-2, 17KO's).  Also appearing on the card in separate bouts will be two of 50 Cent's fighters out of his SMS Promotions stable, Luis Olivares and Donte Strayhorn.

"Our event on April 4 is possibly the most talent-laden Broadway Boxing card we have ever staged," stated promoter Lou DiBella.  "From top to bottom, this card features an amazing array of talent including former world champion Yuri Foreman and title contenders Jo Jo Dan, Gabriel Bracero and Luis Del Valle. We are also featuring some of the most promising prospects on our DBE roster, as well as two of 50 Cent's SMS Promotions young stars.  50 will be in attendance with his fighters, truly making this a can't-miss card for New York fight fans."

"Both Luis and Donte have the skills to be very successful in boxing," said Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. "I'm excited to have them on the upcoming Broadway Boxing card and to see their progression in the sport. I'm glad they are a part of SMS Promotions."

After a two-year hiatus from the ring, the popular Brooklynite Foreman signed a promotional contract with DBE earlier this year and quickly returned to action, winning a six-round shutout decision over Brendan Baue on the DBE-promoted card on January 23, at BB King Blues Club.  Foreman looked rejuvenated against Baue, boxing beautifully throughout their six-round contest, as his surgically repaired knee seemed to be a thing of the past.  The 32-year-old Foreman is looking to reposition himself for a significant fight in the junior middleweight division some time before the end of 2013.  Foreman's bout is scheduled for six rounds against an opponent TBA.

Making his fourth straight appearance at Roseland Ballroom will be fellow Brooklynite and junior welterweight contender Gabriel "Tito" Bracero (21-1, 4KO's).  After dropping a decision in an absolute war to former world champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley on January 21, 2012, Bracero has reeled off three consecutive victories as he looks to reposition himself in line for another significant fight in the junior welterweight division. Bracero will see action in an eight-round bout against an opponent TBA.

Looking to put himself back into the win column after suffering his first pro defeat in a decision loss to multiple world champion Vic Darchinyan will be Puerto Rico's Luis "Orlandito" Del Valle (16-1, 11KO's).  The 26-year-old Del Valle, who made a name for himself early in his career fighting on DBE's popular Broadway Boxing series, looked as though he was ready for a world title opportunity before being derailed by the longtime top-rated world champion and now resurgent contender Darchinyan on HBO's Boxing After Dark on September 29, 2012. Since the defeat, Darchinyan has relocated his training camp from Puerto Rico to Mexico and is now training at the famed Romanza Boxing gym in Mexico City, Mexico, under the watchful eye of Hall-of-Fame trainer Nacho Beristain.

Fighting for the second time under the DBE banner will be the former two-time world title challenger Ion. The former NABA light welterweight champion Ion, a native of Romania, but now living and training in Montreal, Canada, has only two losses as a professional both coming in world title bouts to former WBC welterweight champion Selcuk Aydin. In those bouts, Ion traveled into Aydin's backyard and put forth a great effort in two equally action-packed fights, only to come up on the wrong end of two very close decisions.  Aydin went on to lose his title to 2012 "Fighter of the Year" candidate Robert Guerrero, who just recently defended his championship with a brutal 12-round unanimous decision over Andre Berto.

In his DBE debut in December of last year, Ion scored a devastating fifth-round TKO over Franklin Gonzalez.  Rated as the number six welterweight in the WBA world ratings, Ion hopes to secure another title shot sometime this year.  Both Ion and Del Valle's bouts are scheduled for eight rounds against opponents TBA.

Additional bouts on the card and opponents for Foreman, Bracero, Del Valle and Ion will be announced very shortly.

KIELCZWESKI & ROSA CARRY NEW ENGLAND BANNER Dib-Gradovich headlines March 1 ESPN FNF at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

The next wave of standout New England boxers, headed by undefeated prospects Ryan "Polish Prince" Kielczweski (15-0, 3 KOs) and Luis "KO King" Rosa Jr. (12-0, 6 KOs), will showcase their talents on March 1, on the undercard of the ESPN Friday Night Fights event, airing live from the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
The ESPN Friday Night Fights card, co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and 50 Cent's SMS Promotions, will air live at 9 p.m. ET. The 12-round main event features International Boxing Federation (IBF) Featherweight Champion Billy "The Kid" Dib (35-1-0-1NC, 21 KOs), who is promoted by 50 Cent, defending his title against undefeated Russian challenger and IBF No. 11-rated Evgeny Gradovich (15-0, 8 KOs).
In the 10-round ESPN FNF co-feature, North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super welterweight champion Willie "The Great" Nelson (19-1-1, 11 KOs) makes his first title defense against Michael "El Magnifico" Medina (26-3-2, 19 KOs). The Nelson-Medina fight is being promoted in association with Rumble Time Promotions.
Kielczweski, fighting out of Quincy (Mass.), and New Haven's (Conn.) Rosa are both scheduled to fight in eight-round fights against opponents to be determined.  They are following in the footsteps of another New Englander and DiBella stable-mate, Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez, of Worcester (Mass.), one of the top super middleweights in the world. In fact, they've fought on several cards headlined by "La Bomba" and each hope that another impressive performance will help to elevate them to heights reached by Rodriguez, now a championship-caliber, top-rated contender.
The angelic-looking Kielczweski has a crowd-pleasing style and proudly wears his red-and-white Polish colors in the ring for his growing legion of fans.  The flashy 23-year-old junior lightweight has boxed since the age of six.  He accumulated an amateur record of 118-26, highlighted by his runner-up finish in the 2008 National Golden Gloves Tournament.  A merchandiser for Polar Beverages, as well as a carpenter, Ryan trains at the Cyr-Farrell Boxing Gym in Quincy.
The 21-year-old Rosa is trained by his father Luis Rosa Sr., in New Haven, alongside current world light heavyweight champion "Bad" Chad Dawson.  A 2007 National PAL Tournament amateur champion, "KO King" also won a silver medal at the Ringside World Championships and was a member of the 2009-2010 US Boxing Team.  The compact, well-rounded super bantamweight is a consummate boxer.

Another popular New Englander on the March 1 card in a female six-round match is New London's (Conn.) unbeaten Shelly "Shelito's Way" Vincent (7-0), who is trained by Peter Manfredo Sr. in Rhode Island.  The popular junior featherweight is coming off of her best performance, a win by six-round decision over Nydia Feliciano in January.
A former Southern Connecticut State College football player, junior middleweight Jimmy Williams (1-0, 1 KO), is also slated to fight in a four-round bout.  The New Jersey transplant lives in New Haven.

NELSON GOING ALL IN VS. MEDINA March 1 ESPN FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS Co-Feature at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

NELSON GOING ALL IN VS. MEDINA
March 1 ESPN FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS Co-Feature at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super welterweight champion Willie "The Great" Nelson (19-1-1, 11 KOs) plans to make a major statement on March 1, against Michael "El Magnifico" Medina (26-3-2, 19 KOs) in the 10-round co-feature on ESPN Friday Night Fights, airing live from Foxwoods Resort Casino's MGM Grand Theater, in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

The ESPN Friday Night Fights card, co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and 50 Cent's SMS Promotions, will air live at 9 p.m. ET. The Nelson-Medina bout is promoted in association with Rumble Time Promotions.

The 12-round main event on ESPN Friday Night Fights features International Boxing Federation (IBF) Featherweight Champion Billy "The Kid" Dib (35-1-0-1NC, 21 KOs), who is promoted by 50 Cent, and fighting in the United States for the first time in four-and-a-half years.  The Australian boxer defends his title against undefeated Russian challenger Evgeny Gradovich (15-0, 8 KOs), rated No. 11 by the IBF.

Nelson (19-1-1, 11 KOs) is coming off consecutive victories by impressive 10-round decisions over a pair of previously unbeaten Olympians - two-time Cuban National champion Yudel Jhonson (12-1), on ShoBox, and World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth champion John "Dah Rock" Jackson (13-1, 12 KOs) for the vacant NABF super welterweight title.

Another impressive win for Nelson, who is the top-ranked American in the World Boxing Council (WBC) ratings at No. 5, should move him up the ladder and closer to a world title shot.

"This fight is very important for my career because I'll be showcasing my talent on ESPN and so many people will see me fight," Nelson said.  "This fight is going to get me closer to the top of my division in the WBC.  Personally, though, it's just another fight that won't affect me in the ring.

"Medina comes straight forward and throws a lot of punches, but he has poor defense, throws looping punches, and doesn't move his head.  He likes to throw a lot of body punches.  I've fought a lot of guys like him in the amateurs and a few as a pro."

WBC No. 17-ranked Medina will be giving away three-and-a-half inches in height, as well as a nine-inch reach advantage, to the 6'4" Nelson, who has an 84" reach.  Medina, whose most notable win to date is a 10-round decision in 2011 over Grady Brewer, has been stopped only once, by Saul Roman, and his only other losses as a professional have been to the undefeated Vanes Martirosyan and John Duddy.

Nelson is co-promoted by DiBella Entertainment and Steve Smith's Rumble Time Promotions.

The undercard, featuring some of New England's most promising prospects, will soon be announced.
