Master P comes to Harlem Hue- man's, book store to promote new book "Guaranteed Success"

Percy (Master P) Miller, rap music pioneer, during a recent trip to Harlem, signed autographs and books, photographed with fans, and talked about the contents of his new book "Guaranteed Success." Master P, a reformed gangsta rapper is pioneering clean lyrics and testified at a congressional hearing on stereotypes and degradation in rap and hip hop. Master P and his actor rapper son Lil Romeo formed Miller Boyz, record label, and recently released an album "Hip Hop History", the album is profanity free. Master P, 40 the father of seven, who grew up in New Orleans housing projects, and once glorified ghetto life, and lyrics were littered with the use of obscenities, said "I am a businessman trying to prove that clean music sells...you can keep it real and keep it clean without the cussin'." "I'm concerned about the constant use of profanity. And it's time to clean up hip hop in order to preserve it for the next generation."

A Boxing Wedding event, Till ref do us part, Keisher "Fire" McCleod marries fellow fighter Darryl "Flaco" Wells, at Gleason's Gym

Bride to be Keisher "Fire" McLeod (1-13, 13 Break-ups)30 of Brooklyn New York and 3x New York Golden Glove Champion and Groom to be Darryl "Flaco" Wells (1-9, 9 Break- ups)35 of Harlem, and up an coming sensation, united in Gleasons boxing ring, Sunday October 14th 2007, at Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn New York, officiating the ceremony Supreme Court Justice Betty Williams. Gleasons Gym owner Bruce Silverglade, requested that the couple wed in the Gym, especially since both the pair and Judge Betty Williams all train there. The ring is the perfect place for them to start their life together, the couple agreed. "We were going to City Hall, and just elope." said the blushing bride, who also works at Gleasons Gym. McCleods and Wells, boxing Wedding event had the flair of a championship bout, extravagant entrances, the bridal party wore corner man jackets, with 150 guest ringside looking on. The bride and groom wore silky red and gold robes over wedding outfits, as they walked into the boxing ring, to exchange vows. The Boxing Wedding event's Cocktail hour and Dinner began at 5:00pm, and Ceremony took place at 7:00pm, the Party and reception immediately followed guest danced until midnight. The Music was provided by DJ Spins, the sound totally a mix of dance and old school classics, there were special guest performances by Hip Hop and R&B artist. The McCleod family and PortoBello restaurant, catered the fine cuisine, menu consisting of Caribbean and Italian. The three tier wedding cake, topped with a miniature boxing ring was a delightful treat for the guest. The boxing wedding event was a knockout!

IBRAGIMOV AND HOLYFIELD Hit the Hard Rockin New York City to promote title fight October 13th for the WBO Heavyweight title, in Moscow. Ibragimov vs. Holyfield, which is presented by Seminole Warriors Boxing, Golden Boy, Golden Grain Promotions, Main Events, Yuri Federov Sports Lab, Real Deal Promotions and Sampson Lewkowicz in association with Nafta Moskva and the Seminole Tribe of Florida was available to U.S. viewers through PAY-PER-VIEW.

Unbeaten WBO Heavyweight Champion Sultan Ibragimov stopped his challenger, legendary four-time heavyweight king Evander Holyfield, attempted to win a record fifth world heavyweight title by beating the undefeated Russian hero, in an historic heavyweight title fight.

World Boxing Cares Boxing Community Out reach

Gotham Comedy Club, New York City, World Boxing Cares is finally reaching out to the public with their first New York Event. It will be an evening of entertainment and outstanding comedy, where people from the boxing community will get to mingle with each other, as well as honor some of the well known people who've worked hard to make this dream come true. In addition to Jose Sulaiman, Don King and Gerry Cooney; Sean Connelly and Pat Russo from PAL will be honored, among others.

The WBC started this program as an outreach to children worldwide who are in hospitals, youth centers and orphanages. All of their 162 countries have been participating. Because of this effort, this year was the first time boxing was included in the All Africa Games, where a Youth Village was built and five hospitals were visited. According to Jill Diamond, WBCares Chair, no boxer has ever said no; everyone joins in.

The move to do good is alive and well in boxing. We all want to good something special in our lives, for many in boxing, it's helping children. Champions such as Emile Griffith and Iran Barkley, as well as rising stars such as Eileen Olszewski, Maureen Shea, Susazannah Warner, Jorge Teron and Edgar Santana, are just a few who will make presentations. Jill Diamond, about the program, "We get back so much more from the children then we give. They allow us to show the public who we really are; friends, families and parents."
