Maximum Gee-Force at the Blue Horizon on April 3rd. Super Middleweight contender, Gee Culmer (15 (3 KOs)-1), returns to theLegendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia this Friday at the ‘Israel vsItaly’ event headlined by powerful Israeli Cruiserweight Ran Nakash (17(13 KOs)-0) against local boy Dave Brunelli (8 (3 KOs)-4 (2 KOs)). Gee, who beat fellow Philly fighter Jameel Wilson on his last outing on 12th September ‘08, will be hoping to continue the one hundred percent success rate of Philadelphia’s premier training facility, The James Shuler Memorial Gym, in 2009 - NABA Light Heavyweight Champ, Yusaf Mack, added the NABF crown when he beat Chris Henry on the 6th February. Thiswas followed by Jamaal ‘Da Truth’ Davis, who is better known as Tyson, beating Clarence Taylor on the 6th March and then just this past weekend ,perhaps the most significant of victories, ‘Fast’ Eddie Chambers gettinga well earned decision victory over former WBC Heavyweight World Champion Samuel Peter, which should earn him a chance to face one of the Klitschko brothers in the near future. During a break in his preparations, under the watchful eyes of his trainer Percy ‘Buster’ Custus, Gee said. “I’ve been getting some great work in. Buster has stepped things up again and working me hard. Tyson’s been testing me hard, the sparring has been real good. I’m not sure who I’ll be fighting yet so have to mix it up. I’ll be ready for whoever it is.” The Vernoca L. Michael and Blue Horizon Boxing Promotions Inc. promoted‘Israel vs. Italy’ event features unbeaten Israeli knockout artist Ran Nakash against former Heavyweight Dave Brunelli in the eight round Cruiserweight main event of the exciting night of boxing at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia on Friday 3rd April 2009. Also on the card will be a six round Jr. Welterweight battle of the Philadelphians as Tyric "Too Sweet" Robinson (9 (3 KOs)-3-1) faces Julias Edmonds (4-3) Further top class bouts, including the return of the highly popularIsraeli Light Welterweight Elad Shmouel (19 (10 KOs)-2 (KO 1)), are due tobe announced shortly. ISRAELI SOLDIERS RAN NAKASH AND ELAD SHMOUEL FIGHTING INSIDE THE RING WHILE COUNTRY IS AT WAR

PHILADELPHIA )—On Friday night, February 6th, Ran Nakash will headline a big night of boxing at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

Fighting so far way from home usually isn’t a big deal for Nakash—or fellow Israeli soldier Elad Shmouel who will also make the trip—as this will be his eighth fight at The Legendary Blue Horizon and Shmouel’s seventh, however the circumstances around this fight are a little different for both

Nakash and Shmouel are in the Israel Defense Force. Nakash serves as Chief Commander of the IDF’s krav maga instructional division is the highest ranking professional authority in Krav Maga, while Shmouel is a First Sergeant in the Army.

In layman’s terms, Nakash is the chief instructor of hand-to-hand combat for the entire Israeli Army.

As most people know, Israel is at war with Hamas in Gaza and both men have been part of the war effort, and also served in the 2006 war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. With unrest in their homeland weighing heavily on their minds, Nakash and Shmouel will still make the trek to Philadelphia and apply their boxing trade in front of a packed crowd at The Legendary Blue Horizon on February 6th.

Nakash (16-0, 12 KO’s) of Haifa , Israel will battle Ryan Carroll (7-1, 4 KO’s) of Delaware , Ohio in the eight round cruiserweight main event.

Shmouel (18-2, 12 KO’s) will battle Khristian Garaci (4-5-1, 2 KO’s) of Pittsburgh in a Jr. Welterweight bout scheduled for six rounds.

These fights have extra meaning as Nakash & Shmouel have pride and country as extra motivation to put an a great performance on February 6th.

In the co-feature, Steve Upsher Chambers (19-1-1, 5 KO’s) battles an opponent to be announced in an eight round Jr. Welterweight bout.

In a six round Light Heavyweight affair, Andre Hemphill (7-9-2, 4 KO’s) takes on an opponent to be announced.

Darren Fallen (12-4-1, six knockouts) battles New Yorker, Jason Thompson (4-3, 3 KO’s) in a six round Jr. Middleweight bout.

Julius Edmonds (3-3) of Philadelphia takes on Linwood Hurd (2-0-3) of Atlantic City in a four round Jr. Welterweight bout.

Derrick Bivins (1-0) takes on debuting Gabriel Gomez in a four round battle of Philadelphia bred Featherweights.

John Turner (1-0, 1 KO) takes on Marcus Bianconi (1-0, 1 KO) of Houston, Texas in a clash of undefeated Middleweights scheduled for four rounds.

Fresh off his twenty-three second knockout, Johnny Pawlowski (2-1-1, 2KO’s) gets it on with Tyrone Miles of Philadelphia, who will be making his pro debut.

STEVE CHAMBERS TO TAKE ON ANKRAH; DEVICTORIA REMATCHES MEDINA ON A PACKED CARD AT THE LEGENDARY BLUE HORIZON ON FRIDAY DECEMBER 5TH

PHILADELPHIA— On Friday night, December 5th, a huge night is planned with many great fights and ceremonies are on tap for the annual Children’s Holiday show at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

Before the action gets underway, Fans are encouraged to bring a safe toy or gifts to help the less fortunate during the upcoming holiday season.

The co-feature just announced will pit Steve Upsher Chambers taking on the tough & durable Ben Ankrah of Ghana in a eight round Jr. Welterweight bout.

Chambers, 18-1-1 with five knockouts is coming off a hard fought eight round unanimous decision over Kevin Carmody on September 12th at The Legendary Blue Horizon. This will be Chambers 20th appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

Ankrah, 11-8 from Ghana was the Ghana and West African Lightweight champion. He made his American debut and took former world title challenger and highly regarded Mike Arnaoutis ten hard round before dropping a unanimous decision on October 29th in New York City.

One of the fights just added to an already packed card, will pit Blue Horizon favorite, Lenny DeVictoria taking on Ricardo Medina in a six round Jr. Welterweight rematch.

DeVictoria has a deceiving record of 11-12 with three knockouts.

December 5th will mark an anniversary of sorts for DeVictoria.

It was December 7, 2007 when DeVictoria and Elad Shmouel hooked up in a classic Blue Horizon battle that fans are still talking about.

On December 5th, DeVictoria will also receive an award from John Disanto of www.phillyboxinghistory.com citing DeVictoria’s participation in the “2007 Fight of The Year” with Shmouel

This will be DeVictoria’s eleventh appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon (6-4) which includes his February, 2007 split decision loss to Medina.

Like DeVictoria, Medina is better then his record which stands at 31-32-4 with seventeen knockouts. The twenty-one year vet has faced a litany of top fighters & world champions throughout the years such as Paulie Ayala, Guty Espadas, Zahir Raheem, and Mark “Too Sharp” Johnson to name a few.

Medina is coming off a very impressive six round unanimous decision over the dangerous Kevin Carmody seventeen months ago.

Those two fights are added to a card that is promoted by Vernoca L. Michael and Blue Horizon Boxing Promotions that is stacked with fan favorites from top to the bottom
