Properties showcasing the event include ARIA, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo and New York-New York.

In the main event, former Middleweight world title challenger Grzegorz Proksa will take on former WBC Super Welterweight champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora in a Middleweight bout that is scheduled for ten rounds.
Proksa of Jaworzno, Poland and now residing Redhill, England has a record of 29-2 with 21 knockouts. The 28 year old had won his first twenty six bouts which included winning the European Middleweight title on two occasions. He won the belt for the first time when he stopped former IBF World champion Sebastian Sylvester in three rounds. He reclaimed the belt as he avenged his defeat to Kerry Hope, by scoring an eighth round stoppage. Proksa is coming off a 6 round unanimous decision over Norbert Szekeres on February 9th. On September 1st, 2012.
Sergio Mora of Los Angeles, California won his first twenty one bouts and gained fame by winning the inaugural “Contender” reality show, as he scored wins over future world title challengers Jesse Brinkley and Peter Manfredo Jr., as well as current IBF world champion Ishe Smith. Mora, 32 years old, defeated Manfredo in the rematch before reaching the highlight of his career when he scored a twelve round unanimous decision over Vernon Forrest to capture the WBC Super Welterweight title on June 7th, 2008. Mora continued to put up good results. He battled three-division champion and future Hall of Famer Shane Mosley to a draw on September 18th, 2010 which headlined a Pay Per View card.
In the ten round co-feature, Brazilian knockout artist, Patrick Teixeira will take on Marcus Willis in a Jr. Middleweight bout.
The 22 year-old Teixeira of Sao Paulo, Brazil has a record of 19-0 with 17 knockouts. Teixeira has faced and knocked out the best Junior Middleweights in his native Brazil, such as Jailton De Jesus Souza (11-0); Eraldo Cesar Pereira (5-0); Dario Armando Matorras (13-1) and Pablo Aguero (3-0). In his last bout, Teixeira scored a 1st round stoppage over Luis Acevedo on January 12th.
Marcus Willis of Fort Myers, Florida has a record of 13-2-2 with 3 knockouts. The 26 year old has faced good competition and has quality wins over top prospect James De La Rosa (21-1) in an upset on April 12th in Las Vegas; undefeated Yolexcy Leiva (2-0); Jamond Bourgeois (2-0) and Christopher De La Paz (4-0).
The undercard will feature the 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist from the Ukraine Taras Shelestyuk, now undefeated at 3-0, with 3 knockouts as a professional; Heavyweight prospect Donovan Dennis (6-1-0, 5 KO’s) from Davenport, Iowa will battle local Jacksonville heavyweight Curtis Harper (7-2); Jacksonville heavyweight Chris Vendola will appear in a 4 round heavyweight scrap against Kareem Brann, a Jacksonville Corrections Officer and F.O.P. member in his professional debut; Jacksonville middleweight Steve Chadwick will also appear in a 4 round bout as well. Twenty-year-old "Magic Man" Luis Olivares, Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs), promoted by Curtis (50 Cent) Jackson's SMS Promotions, is on the fast track to potential stardom. His accelerated path already finds him in his fifth professional fight, since his pro debut this past March, on the July 5th ESPNFriday Night Fightscard, airing live from the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
"50 Cent's Birthday Bash," the first solo venture by rapper/promoter 50 Cent's SMS Promotions, is headlined on ESPN Friday Night Fights by a 10-round throw-down between undefeated North American Boxing Organization (NABO) and North American Boxing Association (NABA) light heavyweight champion Eleider "Storm" Alvarez (12-0, 8 KOs) and former world super middleweight title challenger Allan "Ghost Dog" Green (32-4, 22 KOs). Alvarez-Green is being presented in association with Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM).
In the 10-round ESPN Friday Night Fights co-feature, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight champion Billy "The Kid" Dib (35-2, 21 KOs), a native of Australia, meets hometown favorite "Machine Gun" Mike Oliver (25-3, 8 KOs), a former International Boxing Organization (IBO) super bantamweight titlist.
Alvarez, fighting out of Glendale, Arizona, will be fighting for the fifth time in only 3 ½ months, including his last on June 14, in which he stopped Juan Zuniga in the opening round of their fight in Santa Ynez, California.
"I've been blessed, truthfully, to be given opportunities to fight so often and get exposure," Olivares said. "I'm with the right team at the right time. I was jumping up and down when I signed with 50 Cent. My sister first introduced me to his music. I grew-up listening to him and 50 was the first rapper I liked. I'm a movie fanatic and loved his movie, Get Rich or Die Tryin'. He can do so much more for a fighter than other boxing promoters, in terms of exposure, because of his superstar status, which isn't limited to just boxing."
Olivares was a standout amateur (120-15) whose career was highlighted by his bronze-medal placing at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. He lost to the eventual 141-pound U.S. Olympian, Jamel Herring.
In his July 5th fight in Hartford, Olivares will take on another unbeaten prospect, super lightweight Jonathan Perez (4-0, 2 KOs), of Puerto Rico. It's rare for a pair of undefeated prospects to fight each other so early in their careers.
"A lot of people have been asking me why I'm taking a risk fighting a 4-0 opponent," Olivares explained. "I am fighting a tough guy but I'll fight anybody. I don't want to take a step backwards. My coach, Alan Biers, wanted to take the fight, so we sat down with my manager, Tony Gonzalez, and decided to take it. We're all confident in my ability to win this fight."
An explosive boxer-puncher who counters when opportunities present themselves, Olivares is a well-spoken, personable young fighter who, thanks to 50 Cent, is on the fast track.
Also fighting on the undercard in four rounds bouts is Cincinnati native Donte Strayhorn (1-1) vs. Hartford super lightweight Oscar Diaz (0-1), New Haven featherweight Nate Green (3-0, 1 KO) vs. Micah Branch (1-6-1), of Cincinnati, New Haven (CT) welterweight Jimmy Williams vs. Saul Almeida (0-1), of Woburn (MA), and pro-debuting super welterweights David Wilson, of New Haven, vs. Woburn's (MA) Rodrigo Almeida. 2012 Bronze Medalist Ogogo, who will face an opponent to be named in a six-round middleweight bout, joins a top class undercard in support of the debut of Gold Medalist Campbell and unbeaten Sheffield welterweight Kell Brook facing dangerous American Carson Jones in a rematch of their epic clash last July. The marquee matchup was initially announced by Mayweather via his Twitter account on May 29 setting the sports world abuzz. The bout will be a Super Welterweight World Championship contested for the WBC, WBA Super, WBA and Ring Magazine Super Welterweight World Championships on Mexican Independence Day weekend, one of the two biggest weekends on the boxing calendar. The fight will be promoted by Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo Promotions.

Mayweather, who usually campaigns at 147 pounds, chose the younger and bigger Canelo as his opponent for the second bout of his new contract with Showtime Networks Inc. and its parent company, CBS Corporation.
"I picked Canelo because he deserves the chance and is the best opponent possible for me at this time," said Mayweather, who is coming off of a near shutout win on May 4 over Six-Time and Four-Division World Champion Robert Guerrero. "When I signed my new deal with Showtime and CBS, I said I was going to stay active and fight the best fighters and I am keeping my word. I looked at several different fighters and decided to pick Canelo because he can give me a great fight and one the fans are going to appreciate. Sure it's a risk to fight a guy that is younger and bigger than me, but I love taking risks. Canelo is coming off of a unanimous decision win over then WBA World Champion Austin Trout in front of a sold-out crowd of nearly 40,000 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on April 20. The young champion has been soliciting to fight Mayweather for some time and is excited to challenge boxing's best fighter in what could be a career-defining fight for the Mexican superstar.
