RISING AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT STAR DEONTAY WILDER TO FACE AUDLEY HARRISON IN ACTION-PACKED 27 APRIL "THE RETURN OF THE KING" BILL AT MOTORPOINT ARENA SHEFFIELD STACKED UNDERCARD ALSO FEATURES NATE CAMPBELL AND GARY SYKES PLUS, PROFESSIONAL DEBUTS OF 2012 OLYMPIC BRONZE MEDALIST ANTHONY OGOGO & PROSPECT HAROON KHAN

Deontay "Bronze Bomber" Wilder (27-0, 27 KO's) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama will be crossing the Atlantic to take on Harlesden's 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist Audley 'A-Force' Harrison (31-6, 23 KO's) in the co-featured fight that will headline a thrilling undercard on "The Return of the King: Khan vs. Diaz" bill at Motorpoint Arena Sheffield on Saturday 27 April.

Wilder, a rising star on the American heavyweight scene, has shown his phenomenal punching prowess by blasting his way past all of his opponents. The knockout king now steps into the ring against a respected veteran in Harrison who harbours his own dreams of reaching the top and fulfilling his potential.

The pair will clash in a 12-round heavyweight showdown with the victor propelling themselves into world title contention.

"There's nothing like the day before, the morning of and night after you've claimed VICTORY," said Wilder. "The emotion, the excitement and adrenaline rush that I have is ready to explode out of me. I'm a starving lion that's ready to eat. On April 27 in Sheffield, England my next meal will be served; on the menu: Audley Harrison...Bon appetite. For the many fans in England, Deontay 'Bronze Bomber' Wilder is coming. You've been waiting for this moment and now it's here. I can't wait to show you guys why I am the light and the way for this dark division."

"Deontay is a fast, dangerous puncher, but he has not been tested as a pro," said Harrison. "I have lot of respect for him, so it's not personal, but this is the door I must walk through. Lose and it's over, win and I'm in the top ten for sure, eligible to challenge for the world title. Biggest risk, for the biggest reward. It can't get any better than that."

Also featured on the undercard will be former Unified Lightweight World Champion Nate "The Galaxxy Warrior" Campbell (36-10-1, 26 KO's) of Jacksonville, Florida who takes on the exciting undefeated Manchester prospect Terry "Turbo" Flannigan (19-0, 5 KO's) in a 10-round lightweight bout.
"It's a great honor to be fighting in England," said Campbell. "I'm in great shape and looking forward to returning to the lightweight division and this fight will serve notice as to how serious I am."

"I'm looking forward to showcasing my talents against a former world champion in Nate Campbell," said Flannigan. "This is the type of fight I have been waiting for and I'm ready to move up to the next level and prove that I belong there. It's going to be tough, but come the end of the fight, I have no doubt it will be my hand that is raised."

British fight fans will also be able to enjoy a simmering local rivalry with a Lancashire-Yorkshire battle set as former British Champion Gary "Five Star" Sykes (23-3, 5 KO's) puts his English super-featherweight crown on the line against Jon "2 Smokes" Kays (16-2-1, 4 KO's) in a 10-round clash.

No love has been lost between the duo and the April 27 card is all set for fireworks when they go head-to-head.

"John Kays is a good fighter so I will need to be at my best," said Sykes. "I know what to expect, but I'm confident and believe that my experience is going to help me. I'm coming off of a good winning streak and hope to put myself back into the mix for a British title shot by winning. I'm focused and am ready for this fight. I'm not giving up my English title to anyone."

"I'm going into this fight ready to give it everything," said Kays. "This is my time and I won't let anyone take it away from me. I'm super fit, have a good boxing brain and know I have the ability to cause him trouble. It won't be easy, but to get that title I'm willing to do whatever it takes. It's going to be a really exciting fight."

Also appearing on the show will be 2012 Olympic Bronze Medalist Anthony Ogogo of Lowestoft making his professional debut against Kieron Gray (5-13-1, 1 KO) of Telford in a six round middleweight fight and the younger brother of Amir Khan, Haroon Khan making his professional debut against an opponent to be determined in a four-round bantamweight fight. Plus, Manchester's Adrian Gonzales (6-1) facing Marc Callaghan (19-32-1, 4 KO's) of Barking in a six-round welterweight battle, Jack Catterral (3-0, 2 KO's) of Chorley taking on Marc McKray (4-18-1, 3 KO's) of Manchester in a four-round welterweight fight, Tomasz Mazurkiewicz (5-8-2, 1 KO) of Warsaw, Poland up against Doncaster's Adam Jones (2-3) in a four-round junior middleweight fight and Carl Spencer (2-0, 2 KO's) of Doncaster featured in a four round heavyweight bout.

"The Return of the King: Khan vs. Diaz" is a 12 round 143 pound catch-weight bout presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Khan Promotions and sponsored by JD Sport and Maxi Muscle.

MAURICIO HERRERA BATTLES JI-HOON KIM ON SPECIAL EDITION OF ESPN FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS ON THURSDAY MAY 2ND Plus Miguel Acosta takes on Miguel Gonzalez in Lightweight co-feature

On Thursday night May 2nd, Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing Promotions will present a special night of boxing that will originate from The Omega Products International, located at 1681 California Avenue in Corona, California and will be televised as a special edition of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.

In the ten round main event, Mauricio Herrera will take on the exciting Ji-Hoon Kim in a Jr. Welterweight bout.

Herrera of Riverside, California has a record of 18-3 with 7 knockouts and has some solid wins on his resume.  The thirty-two year old won his first eleven bouts which included wins over Alan Velasco (8-1-2); Daniel Cervantes (10-0-1); Santiago Perez (10-1-2); Pavel Miranda (16-2) before winning the WBC USNBC Jr. Welterweight title with a 10 round unanimous decision over Luis Alfredo Lugo.  He made one defense of that crown, as well as a win over current world ranked Cleotis Pendarvis before suffering his first loss to former world champion Mike Anchondo.  Herrera went on to win five in a row which included a split decision over previously undefeated and world ranked Ruslan Provodnikov.  Herrera is looking to get back in the win column after losing a ten round unanimous decision to undefeated Karim Mayfield on October 27th, 2012 on HBO Boxing After Dark.

Kim, of Goyang City, South Korea, has a record of 24-8 with 18 knockouts and is currently ranked 14th by the IBF at Lightweight.  He began his career at the age of 17 in 2004 and had his first eighteen fights staged in South Korea.  While in South Korea, Kim captured The South Korean and PABA Featherweight titles.  Kim made a huge splash in his American debut as he stopped former world title challenger Kobo Gogaladze in one round on May 16th, 2008.  Kim then split his time between South Korea and the United States before winning an IBF Lightweight elimination bout against Ameth Diaz.  The win set up a world title opportunity, as he fought a terrific fight before dropping a unanimous decision to Miguel Vazquez for the vacant IBF Lightweight world title.

Kim has seen his popularity grow due to his all action style, has been featured on ESPN’s Friday Night Fight’s and has appeared in many “Fight of the Year” candidates.  Kim has picked quality wins over Yakubu Amidu (20-2-1) and previously undefeated Alisher Rahimov (23-0).  Kim is coming off a ten round unanimous decision defeat to world ranked Ray Beltran on December 6th, 2012 in a bout where Kim knocked Beltran down in round one.

In the co-feature, former world Lightweight champion Miguel Acosta will take on Miguel Gonzalez in a bout scheduled for ten rounds.

Acosta of Caracas, Venezuela has a record of 29-6-2 with 23 knockouts.  Acosta won the WBA Interim Lightweight title with a 9th round stoppage over previously undefeated Urbano Antillon (26-0) on July 25th, 2009.  He won the full title when he stopped Paulus Moses (25-0) in Moses’ home country of Namibia on May 29, 2010.  Acosta performed well before being stopped in 10 rounds to eventual world champion Brandon Rios.  Acosta got another crack at the WBA interim title but lost a twelve round unanimous decision to Richar Abril. Acosta is coming off a ten round split decision defeat to then undefeated Art Hovhannisyan (14-0-2) on July 20, 2012.

Gonzalez of Cleveland, Ohio has a record of 20-3 with 15 knockouts. The twenty-seven year old Gonzalez is a rising prospect as he continues to step up the competition and has quality wins over the likes of Tyrone Harris (24-7) and Humberto Toledo (39-6).  He is coming off a ten round unanimous decision defeat to highly regarded Mike Dallas Jr. on February 17th, 2012.

“This will be an exciting doubleheader on May 2nd”, said Banner Promotions CEO Arthur Pelullo.
“Herrera and Kim can get right back in the title mix with a win and the opening bout features Acosta who is a former world champion taking on Gonzalez, who with a win can throw his name in the middle of the Lightweight title picture”.

“We're excited to host this special edition of ESPN Friday Night Fights Boxing on a Thursday night.   We're especially enthused to feature our very own, Riverside's junior welterweight slugger Mauricio Herrera in a tough competition against South Korea's Ji-Hoon Kim.  I have no doubt that these two warriors will leave it all in the ring and give the viewing fights fans everything they expect to see and even more! LEO SANTA CRUZ VS. ALEXANDER MUNOZ & J'LEON LOVE VS. GABRIEL ROSADO COMPLETE "MAY DAY: MAYWEATHER VS. GUERRERO" SHOWTIME PPV® TELECAST

The Saturday, May 4 "MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero"SHOWTIME PPV telecast fight line-up is complete with the addition of former IBF Bantamweight World Champion Leo Santa Cruz facing veteran Alexander Munoz in a 10-round junior featherweight fightand rising middleweight star J'Leon Love squaring off against recent world title challenger Gabriel Rosado in a 10-round battle. These bouts, in addition to the already announced Daniel Ponce de Leon vs. Abner Mares 12-round title fight for Ponce de Leon's WBC Featherweight World Championship, will set the stage for the world title clash between Eight-Time and Five Division World Champion Floyd Mayweather and Six-Time and Four-Division World Champion Robert Guerrero at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
"I'm so excited to be fighting on this card on such the big Cinco de Mayo holiday weekend," said Santa Cruz. "I have been very fortunate to have fought on great events so far in my career, but this is the biggest stage yet. I plan to make my fans happy on May 4 and show the world that I am here to stay."
"I am so looking forward to getting back in the ring on May 4 and taking the young Leo Santa Cruz to school," said Munoz. "My experience is going to trump his youth and I plan on handing him his first loss in front of the world on SHOWTIME PPV."
"This is what every fighter dreams of," said Love. "Thanks to Floyd Mayweather, Leonard Ellerbe and Mayweather Promotions I have been blessed with the opportunity to fight on SHOWTIME PPV in front of the whole world and on the undercard of one of the greatest fighters to ever lace up a pair of gloves [Floyd Mayweather]. Gabriel Rosado is a big name in the sport and a very good fighter, but on May 4, I plan on making a big statement by beating him and letting the entire world know my name. This is it and I can't wait."
"I have had my ups and downs, but I am confident that May 4 is going to be my time to shine," said Rosado. "J'Leon Love is a tough, good fighter who has learned from some of the best, but I know what I am capable of. I am going to come out on top and show boxing fans across the country and around the world what I am made of."
"Both of these fights are excellent additions to 'MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero' and we are especially excited to see J'Leon Love make his SHOWTIME PPV debut," said Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions. "Fighting on a Floyd Mayweather undercard presents a platform unlike any other in the sport of boxing and we know that these rising stars will take full advantage of the opportunity."
"Santa Cruz vs. Munoz and Love vs. Rosado add even more incentive for fans to buy this SHOWTIME PPV extravaganza," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. "We could not be more impressed or happy with the path that Leo Santa Cruz is on and can't wait for his skills to be tested further against Munoz in front of a worldwide audience on May 4. J'Leon Love has his toughest test to date when he faces Gabriel Rosado. I can't think of a better way to kick-off this exciting night."
Boxing's latest action hero, 24-year-old Leo "Terremoto" Santa Cruz (23-0-1, 13 KO's) broke onto the international boxing scene in 2012 when he won the IBF Bantamweight World Champion with a 12 round decision win over Vusi Malinga last June. Following that, the punch-a-second native of Huetamo, Mexico went on to defend his belt three times in 2012 with exciting victories over Eric Morel (TKO 5) in September, Victor Zaleta (TKO 9) in November and Alberto Guevara (W 12) in December, establishing himself as a future star. Now making his home in Los Angeles, Santa Cruz returns to the site of his big win over Morel in the hopes of keeping his unbeaten record intact.
Venezuelan veteran Alexander Munoz (36-4, 28 KO's) lives up to his nickname of "El Explosivo" with each outing thanks to the devastating punching power that has garnered 19 knockout wins in three rounds or less. A rugged competitor who has never been stopped, the 34-year-old from San Felix has won eight of his last 10 bouts, with his only losses coming against World Champions Cristian Mijares and Koki Kameda. On May 4, Munoz will look hand Santa Cruz his first defeat with the entire world watching.
With the talent he exhibits each time he steps between the ropes, Detroit, Michigan's J'Leon Love(15-0, 8 KO's) may very well be the future of the middleweight division. Just 25-years-old, Love has been very impressive in the 160-pound division, most recently stepping up to the test against 28-fight veteran Derrick Findley with a near shutout decision on February 23 in front of his hometown crowd in Detroit. On May 4, he hopes to take another step forward on his trek toward a world title shot by defeating the very tough Gabriel Rosado.
No nonsense Gabriel "King" Rosado (21-6, 13 KO's) epitomizes the relentless attitude of a Philadelphia fighter and, after a rocky start to his pro career, the 27-year-old has run off wins in seven of his last eight bouts, including knockout victories over Jesus Soto Karass, Sechew Powell and Charles Whittaker. In January, he gave a courageous effort in a WBA Middleweight World title bout against Gennady Golovkin before being stopped in the seventh round. Now, his comeback begins in Las Vegas on May 4.
"MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero," a 12-round fight for Mayweather's WBC Welterweight World Championship, is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona, O'Reilly Auto Parts, AT&T, Star Trek Into Darkness and Valvoline.  The mega-event will take place Saturday, May 4 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV® beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.  Also featured will be WBC Featherweight World Champion Daniel Ponce de Leon defending his title against former Two-Division World Champion Abner Mares in a 12-round fight, former IBF Bantamweight World Champion Leo Santa Cruz facing veteran Alexander Munoz in a 10-round junior featherweight bout and rising star J'Leon Love squaring off against recent world title challenger Gabriel Rosado in a 10-round middleweight battle.

The owner of multiple world titles in the lightweight, welterweight and junior middleweight divisions, Sugar Shane Mosley (46-8-1, 39 KO's) has compiled a career resume any fighter would envy.  Having scored wins over Oscar De La Hoya, Fernando Vargas, Ricardo Mayorga, Antonio Margarito and Jesse James Leija,, Pomona, California's Mosley has also shared the ring with the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Canelo Alvarez and Winky Wright, thrilling fans for years with his style, speed and ring savvy.  In his most recent fight in May of 2012, Mosley lost a 12 round decision to Alvarez, but after a year away from the ring, Sugar Shane is back and ready to face a stern test in Cano.

Former WBA Interim Super Lightweight World Champion Pablo Cesar "El Demoledor" Cano (25-2-1, 19 KO's) made a big impression on the boxing world when he took a last minute fight with future Hall of Famer Erik "El Terrible" Morales in 2011 in which he went 11 hard rounds before losing to the Mexican superstar.  In his 147-pound debut last October he impressed once again when he went 12 hard-fought rounds with WBA Welterweight World Champion Paulie "Magic Man" Malignaggi, scoring an 11th round knockdown before losing a controversial split decision.  Undeterred, the 23-year-old Cano has the opportunity to not just get back on a winning track, but to defeat a legend on May 18.
