Several fighters featured on the upcoming
Golden Boy Live! fight card taking place at Barclays Center's Cushman & Wakefield Theater live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes worked out and addressed the media yesterday at Gleason's Gym ahead of their respective fights this Monday, Sept. 30.  
Additionally, it was announced today that four of boxing's brightest stars will be on hand for Fan Appreciation Night at Barclays Center as part of thefinal event celebrating Barclays Center's one-year anniversary.  Unified Super Lightweight World Champion Danny "Swift" Garcia, Rising Middleweight Star Danny "Miracle Man" Jacobs, Former Welterweight World Champion Luis Collazo and Undefeated Welterweight Eddie Gomez will sign autographs for fansfrom 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET prior to the start of the FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes live telecast.

Over 30,000 fans packing the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, April 20 for the Super Welterweight World Championship Unification showdown between Canelo Alvarez andAustin Trout will have another reason to cheer, as the evening's co-main event will feature a clash of unbeaten lightweights when Weslaco, Texas' Omar Figueroa Jr. and Puerto Rico's Abner Cotto square off in an explosive 10-round fight for the vacant WBC Silver Lightweight title live on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING®.

Canelo vs. Trout, a 12-round Super Welterweight World Championship Unification fight for Canelo's WBC title, Trout's WBA title and the vacant Ring Magazine title, is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, Canelo Promotions and Leija & Battah Promotions and sponsored by Corona andAT&T. The co-main event will be a 10-round fight between undefeated prospects Omar Figueroa Jr. of Weslaco, Texas and Abner Cotto of Caguas, Puerto Rico for the vacant WBC Silver Lightweight Championship which is presented in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions. The fights will air live on SHOWTIME at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT with Canelo vs. Trout being presented in association with Greg Cohen Promotions. SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING is available in Spanish on secondary audio programming (SAP).

Friday’s ShoBox: The New Generation from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif., live on SHOWTIME® (11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast).

In the main event, undefeated prospect Omar Figueroa Jr. (14-0-1, 11 KOs), of Weslaco, Texas, will take on Mexico’s Ramon “Nino De Oro” Ayala (23-2-1, 11 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout. Figueroa, who has ended eight of his wins in two rounds or less, is fresh off handing previously unbeaten prospect Michael Perez his first loss on Jan. 6 on ShoBox, while Ayala has won five in a row, including three by knockout.

In Friday’s co-feature, local Coachella, Calif., favorite Randy Caballero (13-0, 7 KOs) will make his ShoBox debut in what will be the toughest test of his career against Mexico’s Jose Luis “Tapitas” Araiza (29-5-1, 20 KOs) in a 10-round bantamweight bout. Caballero has won his last seven consecutive bouts – and eight overall – at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, while the hard-hitting Araiza has registered 11 of his 20 knockouts in three rounds or less.

"PUNCHIN AT THE PARADISE" RETURNS FRIDAY AUGUST 19TH FEATURING MICHAEL PEREZ LIVE ON TELEFUTURA'S "SÓLO BOXEO TECATE"


"PUNCHIN AT THE PARADISE" RETURNS FRIDAY AUGUST 19TH FEATURING MICHAEL PEREZ LIVE ON TELEFUTURA'S "SÓLO BOXEO TECATE" THE BRONX'S FAST RISING UNDEFEATED PROSPECT EDDIE GOMEZ TO SEE ACTION IN TELEVISED CO-FEATURED BOUT

On Friday August 19, Golden Boy Promotions and Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing will team up to present the latest installment of the "Punchin at the Paradise" fight series. The card, which will feature a number of both Golden Boy and Star Boxing prospects, will be broadcast live on TeleFutura's "Sólo Boxeo Tecate." Headlining the event will be Newark's fast-rising Puerto Rican prospect Michael "The Artist" Perez (13-0, 7KO's) squaring off against an opponent to be determined in a ten round lightweight match-up.

Also featured will be undefeated Bronx prospect Eddie Gomez (5-0, 4 KO's) who will see action in a six round bout against an opponent to be determined in the co-main event on "Sólo Boxeo Tecate."
